| At the heart of the park are the picturesque remains of Rufford Abbey, founded in the 12th Century by Cistercian monks and later transformed into a grand country house for the Talbot and Savile families.
The Craft Centre in the former stable block includes a Gallery with a changing programme of exhibitions, as well as Britain's first Ceramics Centre - proof of Rufford's growing reputation as a centre of excellence for British contemporary crafts.
You can browse around the on-site shops, pause for coffee at the 'Coach House' or enjoy a traditional lunch in the Savile Restaurant, set in the former Victorian kitchen of the Abbey's restored Jacobean Wing.
Rufford - where old and new, conservation and innovation go hand in hand. A place for everyone to enjoy!
